Hi! I’m Lindsay, and this Judgement-Free Green.

I’m doing my best. And aren’t we all?

Going green(er) is hard. Zero waste. Plastic Free. It all sounds like such a…commitment.

Let me help. I’ve taken steps in my household to lessen our impact on the environment, and I can help you do the same through sustainable product reviews, household tips, and low-waste living.

It’s not perfection we’re seeking here. It’s just a group of like-minded planet lovers who also have real lives. Real lives that have acclimated to overnight shipping, grab-and-go everything, and well, more.

You won’t have to make any sharp turns here. You’ll simply find small ways to be better to the planet, even if you still have plastic wrap in your drawer, or are the only one in your house that knows how to turn off a light switch, or are welcomed home by a stack of brown boxes on many days. No judgement! Tiny steps forward are still steps forward.

So since we’re all on the same page, let’s do this. Welcome to Judgement-Free Green!

You’re still reading?

Well, if you want to know more, my story is probably similar to yours.

know I should be better to the Earth.  Our climate is changing rapidly, icecaps are melting, and we just buy so much stuff.

So little by little, I instituted some changes. I began composting. I plant some veggies every summer. And I really – for real this time – started remembering to bring my reusable shopping bags into the store. And it felt good.

I was cruising along with my sustainable steps when 2020 hit. And boy, did it. I hadn’t realized how well I embraced reducing my footprint until that really wasn’t an option anymore.

Restaurant take out, increased deliveries, reorganized priorities. All the things. We are in it. And you know? It’s okay.

I began looking around online for encouragement and tips to re-energize my sustainability style. And while I found plenty of info, I also found plenty of goals that just seemed unreasonable. Zero waste? Like, none at all? Surely I can’t do that. Plastic-free? Uh oh.

I am trying to do my part to make the planet better. Of course, this is in addition to a host of other things I have to do, and I’m sure you’re the same.

I have a full-time job as a librarian (why, yes, of course there are book reviews here!). I have a second full-time job following my husband around turning off the lights he turned on before wandering out of the room. And my dog! He’s a high-maintenance, adorable doofus.

And ya’ll with kids? I cannot even imagine. But I can help! I’ve done the leg-work, have already made plenty of mistakes on this journey, and will happily offer you eco-friendly product reviews, green living tips, sustainability news, and probably a few dog pics.

Welcome to Judgement-Free Green. A community of people doing their best for the planet. Going green(er) can be challenging, time consuming, and sometimes a little pricey up front. I would even say it’s a privilege to have the bandwidth to put this on your plate.

But it’s really important work. So start where you are and do what you can. No judgement.
